Any Gardeners Out There?

Tomatoes took a bit this year but they are finally ready. Here is an easy way to use them up-

Pasta Red Sauce

1/4 cup olive oil

1 onion chopped fine

1T garlic salt

4 lbs tomatoes

1T sugar

1T basil

1/2 T parsley

Heat oil in pan on medium

add onion and cook until opaque (2-3  minutes)

Add other ingredients bring to a boil

then reduce to low and cook 1-2 hours

 

This is perfect to get done at nap time or before school gets out and then all you have to do is make the noodles at dinner hour.

Added bonus:  it’s a good option for a “no meat” night.
